HONDA CIVIC 3 & 5 DOOR  `01> 71281 /not Type R or 2 Dr Coupe

Step 1.  With extreme care, using a flat bladed tool and protective cloth, panel housing hazzard switch / cigar lighter: on each side, half way up there is a clip.

OR - Open glove box and access the rear of the gear shift panel - push outwards to unclip.

 
Step 2.  Lever out the panel slightly and slide the bracket under the left hand edge above the clip, ensure the bracket is inverted so the numbers show upside down
 
Step 3. Refit the panel to secure the bracket in place.
 
 
NB   The radio has standard ISO DIN connectors for muting purposes which convert to Honda plugs lower down.
