Step 1:     Place gear shift in position D1 and apply handbrake.

Step 2:    Open the ashtray and remove the two Torx 15 screws, pull out the assembly and disconnect the power feed.

Step 3:    Unclip the whole centre console veneer fascia panel around the heater switches/GPS screen or two part radio/storage tray on some models (S320). The separate veneer sections on S320 require the removal of two further securing  screws to release the fascia. CARE:  - USE PROTECTIVE CLOTH

Step 4:    Remove the two Torx 15 screws in the lower left corner of the radio assembly.

Step 5:    Lift forwards the inner plastic support strip and locate the bracket with the screw beneath.

HB: SOME MODELS DISPENSE WITH THIS SCREW, THE ARM WILL MERELY REST IN THIS POSITION OR SLIGHTLY LOWER, ADJACENT TO THE STORAGE TRAY, AS AN INTERFERENCE FIT
